Vapor Mitigation

Soil Excavation

We support excavation projects with pre-characterization services, dewatering, water treatment, and off-site soil disposal through our extensive vendor network.
Water Treatment Services
On-site groundwater treatment is a cost-effective alternative to off-site disposal. METI specializes in treating groundwater during aquifer pumping tests, UST removal and installation, foundation work, and soil excavation. Our treatment systems include air strippers, submersible pumps, automated controls, and carbon vessels—typically housed in enclosed trailers for efficiency and mobility. We offer treatment services on a rental basis or at a cost-per-gallon-treated rate.
Remedial System Installations
With extensive experience installing in situ remedial systems across New York and the Northeast, METI ensures compliance with the highest industry standards. Whether installing systems designed in-house or by third parties, our team has the knowledge and equipment necessary to meet project specifications. A dedicated project manager oversees every phase—from planning and procurement to trenching and system installation—while our skilled technicians handle plumbing, electrical, and system controls. Upon project completion, METI provides as-built drawings and closeout documentation certified by a New York State licensed engineer.
Operation & Maintenance
For over 30 years, METI has been a leader in remediation system operation and maintenance. Our technicians are highly skilled in operating oxygen injection, air sparge/soil vapor extraction, dual-phase extraction, and groundwater treatment systems. Our engineers continuously monitor system performance, optimizing efficiency to minimize downtime. When issues arise, our team swiftly troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components to ensure seamless operation.
We also offer groundwater monitoring as a standalone service or in conjunction with system maintenance. Our team is trained in various soil and groundwater sampling techniques, including low-flow groundwater sampling.
Construction Oversight
METI project managers ensure timely, cost-effective project execution, from small UST removals to large-scale remediation system installations. By prioritizing thorough planning, regulatory engagement, and clear project objectives, we minimize delays and budget overruns.
Safety is at the core of our operations. METI participates in ISNetworld and Avetta safety auditing, reinforcing our commitment to eliminating workplace hazards. Every project includes a site-specific health and safety plan (HASP), and all staff are OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER trained, with many holding additional certifications in confined space entry, first aid, and construction safety. Routine safety meetings and job-site inspections further promote our safety-first culture.
